Work hours: 2nd shift: 3:00 pm to 1:30 am (Monday - Thursday); mandatory overtime may be required; training on 1st shift 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
Compensation: Based on experience; $20 minimum and $0.50 shift premium

Summary of responsibilities:
Sets up and operates numerical control machine to cut, shape, or form metal work pieces to specifications by performing the following duties.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; or greater or less than six months related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience on Mazak and Mori Seiki a plus!
Possess a valid forklift driver's license or is capable of obtaining one.
Certificate, licenses, registrations
Plus for candidates with successful completion of approved trade-related apprenticeship program resulting in journeyman status or successful completion of a course of study at an approved technical institution resulting in a diploma or degree in machine tool operation.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, ad procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as inch/metric conversions, addition/subtraction, multiply, and divide fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Competence, awareness, and training
Competence, awareness, and training for probationary employees will be assessed by the "New Employee Checklist", and the evaluations conducted at 30, 60, and 90 days, along with other training as needed. Competence, awareness, and training for regular employees will be assessed when annual evaluations are conducted, along with other measurements in accordance with the area the employee is assigned to.
